We’re passionate about ensuring your children thrive from an early age.
At South Breeze we want the best for our campers so we want the best staff. Therefore, we are very selective when it comes to choosing staff for our camp. As an applicant, you will feel the South Breeze difference at your first interview. You will not only hear but also feel the enthusiasm and passion we pour into making camp special for our camp families and our staff.
Our phenomenal staff is an important part of the South Breeze family. We are looking for energetic, caring men and women who love working with children. Our staff goes through a rigorous interview process and an intense training program before camp begins. During the summer, our Leadership team constantly monitors, evaluates and trains the staff to ensure the highest quality program for all of our campers. Staff members have the opportunity to act as role models, friends and mentors, in fun-filled summer environment while making new life long friends of their own.
Specialists teach programs that allow our campers to explore individual and team skills. Specialists are in charge of the learning experience at their activity area. They are dynamic teachers who have a way of connecting with children and who love helping them realize their potential. Every camper should leave a program feeling “good” about what they can do, with the specialist understanding that “good” is different for each child.
A Division Leader is an adult who oversees a specific age group of campers. Responsibilities include, communicating with parents, training and managing counselors, caring for and participating in every aspect of a camper’ s day including problem solving, facilitating daily activities, contributing to leadership team meetings, and doing all this with a smile.
Group Counselors and Group Leaders
Counselor positions are available to college students and recently graduated high school seniors. Each team of counselors works with a specific age group. As a Counselor you will spend the entire summer with the same group of campers. Responsibilities include: leading campers from activity to activity, assisting Specialists, participating in activities, looking out for the safety and well being of your campers, having fun, and finding a way to build each camper’s self-esteem.
Group Leaders have all the same responsibilities as Group Counselors with the additional role of “Team Captain” for your co-counselors. Group Leaders must be at least 21 years old. If you are energetic, love to play, and enjoy working with children… please apply.
